Who is WeHear and what will be your job responsibilities as an eBook Narrator with WeHear?
WeHear provides an online audiobook subscription service to the global market.
It has been launched since the end of 2020.
Their goal is to provide an immersive and engaged experience for readers.
They are currently looking for eBook Narrators that would help them scale their business and get more customers.
As an eBook Narrator, your main job is to read audiobooks and fictional books aloud
and get paid by doing so.
There you go. As an eBook Narrator here with WeHear, you just need to literally read eBooks aloud
as if like you're narrating the story from the book.
If you're someone who has a clear and great vocal register,
and if you're good when it comes to narration, this might be the online job you've been looking for.
Let's talk about the technical requirements and the skills.
You need a laptop, a PC or a smartphone.
This works using your phone.
As long as the recording is good and clear, that will definitely work.
You also need an internet connection because you're going to download and upload files.
You also need an audio editing app.
If you will be using your phone, you can download one.
There are a lot of audio editing apps available.
Also, the most important part aside from your voice,
is a good quality microphone.
You also need a headset or an earphone.
You can use that when you're editing your recordings.

That will be for the payment.

In this part, you will be selecting the books that you'd like to read
and that you'd like to narrate here with WeHear.
Once they have reviewed your resume, demo and all that,
if they think that you can be part of the WeHear team,
you will be receiving the offer and you will be signing the contract.
And then after that, you can start working and upload on a weekly basis.
Then you will also get paid with an advance payment.
We'll also talk about this advance payment later.

You can start by sending them an email including your resume and demo.
For the demo, it will be an audio file of you reading a specific book.
Any book will work.
For the salary and payment method,
according to my research,
you can earn from $50 to $350 per hour of narrated book as an eBook Narrator.
Of course, it will depend on your experience.

But we can't demand a rate that's too high
especially if we still don't have any experience in being an eBook Narrator.
For the advance payment that was mentioned earlier,
yes, they do advance payment for every freelancer.
They will be paying 25% of the project cost.

that this is legit and they will be paid for the work done.
For the payment method, you will be paid through a bank transfer.
